March 24, 2016 foreign students of PUET participated in the workshop “Foreign students in Ukraine” of Ukrainian State Centre of International Education (USCIE) under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in Kiev. The conference was attended by Deputy Head of the International Cooperation and European Integration Lubov Schitka, director of the Ukrainian State Centre of International Education Elena Shapovalova. The aim of the seminar was to present the Ukrainian State Centre of International Education, features of Ukrainian adaptation to the educational and social environment and discuss the legal protection of foreigners and stateless persons. The seminar was attended by international students from various regions of Ukraine. PUET was presented by students from Nigeria, Turkmenistan, China and Azerbaijan. Members of the Foreign Students  Department dean Yuriy Dzekun and supervisor Marina Bilotserkivets accompanied the students. Students were asked to take part in several competitions, which USCIE introduced:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. election online \u00abInternational Student Ambassador\u00bb – twenty-two representatives of foreign students, one from each region who could interact directly with the center of international education and represent foreign students of their region;<\/li>
  2. introduce \u00abAlumni program\u00bb – program for graduates of Ukrainian universities in the form of an annual conference and online forum at the Center for International Education;<\/li>
  3. competition for the best videos, photos and essays about studying in Ukraine among foreign students.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

     During the workshop, experts from the Ministry and USCIE gave advice regarding the most important issues for the organization of studying in Ukraine, migration issues, organization of educational process in higher educational institutions of Ukraine and leisure activities for international students.
