The University Rector Prof. O.O. Nestulia  was nominated the winner of the State Prize – for the introduction of innovative technologies in the field of management and administration of educational process in higher educational institutions of the country with the Decree № 1121/2008 of the President of Ukraine  “On awarding the State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Technology in 2008” for his study “The System of Financial Management in  the Field of Education and Science,”

Awards : in  2007 – the Order “For Merit” of the third degree , in 2011 – the Order “For Merit” of the second degree.

He has published about 200 scientific papers , including 9 monographs, has  supervised training of ten Candidates of Sciences , two Doctors of Sciences. He is the Editor- in- Chief of “The Scientific Bulletin  of Poltava University of Economics and Trade”, a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals “The Archaeological Chronicle of Left Bank Ukraine “, “The Historical Memory .”

He was born on March 25, 1957 . In 1978 he graduated from the Poltava Korolenko State Pedagogical Institute on the  specialty of a historian . He worked for 15 years in PKSPI, has graduated from postgraduate and doctorate programs in 1997-1999 , in 2003 – Deputy Chairman of the Poltava Regional State Administration, since 2000 – Head of Department of Philosophy and Political Science, since 2003 – Rector of Poltava University of Consumer Cooperatives in Ukraine , which was re-named  Higher Educational Establishment (HEE) of UkrCoopSpilka” Poltava University of Economics and Trade ” ( PUET ) in April 2010.
