FOREIGN STUDENTS LEARN NATIONAL CULTURE OF POLTAVA

On June 22, 2018 foreign students of the foundation course of Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET) took part in a halushka workshop at the First Halushka Manufactory “Komora”. They got acquainted with the national traditions and culture of Poltava region, learned the legend and facts about the origin of the name “halushka” from Stepan Galushka). The process of cooking halushka by students was the  most interesting; after it students could taste the halushkas they cooked. Students received a lot of fun and positive emotions from the workshop and now they will be able to share the recipe of Poltava halushka with their families.

Students also visited the Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery) named after Mykola Yaroshenko. They were impressed by picturesque landscapes, portraits, still-lives and historical paintings of Ukrainian and foreign artists.
