A book is the best gift for the library

Since 2011, the Azerbaijan Cultural and Educational Center has been operating at the Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET). The main tasks are to facilitate the adaptation of foreign students studying at PUET to new ethnocultural and linguistic situations that may arise in the process of studying foreign disciplines, and to acquaint students and staff of PUET with the culture and history of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The book fund of the Center is constantly updated and now has more than a hundred copies of various literatures.

On November 26, 2020, the book collection of the Center was replenished with a collection of valuable publications on the history, culture and art of the Republic of Azerbaijan, donated by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, namely by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Elmira Akhundova and Embassy Counselor Mr. Kamal Khalilov. In particular, Ms. Ambassador donated her own works.

On December 9, 2020, at the request of Ms. Elmira, representatives of the international scientific and educational center PUET transferred some of the publications to the funds of the Poltava Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Kotlyarevsky in order to form a positive image of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Poltava and meet the cultural, linguistic and information needs of citizens and fans of the Azerbaijani word. In turn, the director of the library Ms. Tetyana Zelenska thanked for the contribution to the formation of the book fund and willingness to cooperate, conduct joint cultural and educational events.
