Business meeting on the project “Poltava as a center of international hospitality: with Europeans and for Europeans”

On May 16, 2016, the business meeting on the project “Poltava as a center of international hospitality: with Europeans and for Europeans” was held in Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET).

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical work (International Relations, International Activities, European and Euro-Atlantic Integration), Doctor of Economics, Professor Olena Cherniavska; Head of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Poltava Office for Cultural Affairs Vitaliy Pavlov; consulting manager from Norway Olaf Saxegaard; director of the tour operator dealing with trips to Northern European and Baltic countries Nordic Ukrainian Travel Company Tatyana Frolova; representative of the travel agency Smile Sergey Danilenko; Head of the Chair of Tourism and Hotel Business,  Doctor of Economics, Professor Georgiy  Sklar; Teacher of the Chair of  Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Industry Svitlana Ovchinnikova-Dudnik; Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Chair of Business Foreign Language Valentina Voskoboinyk.

The meeting reached an agreement on cooperation between the university, authorities of Poltava City Administration for Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the tour operator dealing with trips to Northern European and Baltic countries Nordic Ukrainian Travel Company and the travel agency Smile.  The issues of the formation of the consortium and key activities for the implementation of the project were discussed at the meeting. The project “Poltava as a center of international hospitality: with Europeans and for Europeans” is aimed at involving university students in the process of organizing Incoming Tourism in Poltava region.
