Championship on Information Technology “Modern computer science is a successful future”

November 29, 2014 Poltava University of Economics and Trade conducted the second championship on Information Technology “Modern computer science is a successful future.”

The organizers of the championship were Poltava Regional Institute of Teachers Education named after M.V. Ostrogradskii and Poltava University of Economics and Trade.

The championship was held in two rounds. In the first round almost 300 students of 5-11 grades of schools of the Poltava region expressed their desire to take part. 120 students who successfully did the tasks of the first round were invited to participate in the second round.

82 participants (out of whom 39 pupils – study in grade 11, 30 – in grade 10, 13 students – representatives from grades 5-9) competed for prizes in the second round.

Participants of the Championship actively used the Internet, worked with software package MS Office, and used modern graphic editors Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, GIMP.

Jury members were leading scientists in Informatics of Poltava University of Economics and Trade; Methodist in Information Technology of the Division of natural and mathematical sciences of Poltava Regional Institute of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after M.V. Ostrogradskii; teachers of leading schools of Poltava.

Championship confidently demonstrated that modern computer science is a future of many successful students.
