Conference “Destination Branding: keys to building a successful reputation”, organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in cooperation with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) at the UN.

On 20-21 of June 2016 Ph.D., Associate Professor Yanina  Barybina took part in the conference “Destination Branding: keys to building a successful reputation”, organized by the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine in cooperation with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO ) at the UN.

On the first day of the event Tom Buncle, Managing Director of Yellow Railroad company and author of the UNWTO Handbook on Destination Branding gave their master classes for local authority and government representatives. On the second day of the event there was the conference on “Destination Branding: keys to building a successful reputation”, having the speakers from WTO, the European Travel Commission, tourism administrations and national tourism organizations in Europe, as well as leading global companies — Google, Tripadvisor, Amadeus, Acrobator, Postmen, Minube and others. 

The key event was the presentation of Ukraine as an attractive tourist destination on the world map by the Secretary General UNWTO – Mr. Taleb Rifai.
