Crash test of BIG IDEA CHALLENGE VIDEO PITCHES
As part of the Creative Spark: Entrepreneurship Support in Education project, the Creative Spark Big Idea Challenge 2021 video pitch competition is taking place. It is an annual international business project competition aimed at supporting startups in the creative industries. ORGANIZER: business accelerator of London Metropolitan University.
This year Poltava University of Economics and Trade in partnership with the NGO “Center for Adult Education in Poltava” and the University of Porstsmouth (UK) for the second time is selecting participants for the national stage of the Big Idea Challenge.
An online crash test of the projects took place on April 22, where video pitches of Boot Camp participants were presented – students and young people who want to start a business in the creative industries.
The purpose of the event is to analyze the business ideas of the participants, identify their weaknesses and possible ways to strengthen them. The crash test includes nominees, experts, the Creative Spark Poltava project team, employees of Poltava University of Economics and Trade and the University of Portsmouth. Among the guests of the event is the project coordinator from Britain Giovanna Radulovich.
The expert commission consists of successful entrepreneurs and industry experts:

Rostislav Karaptan – founder of Torgservice LLC, managing partner of City Profit Poltava, member of Poltava Business Association
Mykola Balaban is the founder of the Krynytsia restaurant chain
Dmytro Olkhovsky – leader of the development team at BeetRoot
Tatiana Drozd – founder of the jewelry brand “Peacock”
Nata Nikolaeva – strategist, crisis manager at Adviser Communications
Tetyana Kravchenko – financial manager of the business accelerator “Business Sharks” (Kyiv)
Acceptance of applications for the competition ends with the Creative Spark Big Idea Challenge 2021 on May 7. After that, each institution participating in the program will determine its nominees for the competition. The national stage of the Big Idea Challenge will take place in June-July 2021. The winners of the national selection will be announced after July 30, 2021. The winners in the categories and the winner of the audience will receive mentoring support from the London Metropolitan University business accelerator. The overall winner will receive a prize of £ 2,000, take part in the Start-up Sprint Program, mentoring and the opportunity to take part in the international stage of the competition.
