“Creative Entrepreneurship” Training for Entrepreneurs and Those Who Want to Start a Business

On March 14-15, 2020 the “Creative Entrepreneurship” was held again. The event was part of the British Council’s Creative Spark: An Entrepreneurship Support Program for Education. The local partners and organizers are the Poltava University of Economics and Trade in partnership with the Education Center of Poltava for adults and the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom).

For two days the lecturers of Poltava University of Economics and Trade worked with the participants of the training – Assoc. Igor Yurko, prof. Ludmila Shimanovska-Dianich, Assoc. Elena Mikhailenko, Assoc. Victoria Lisica, Assoc. Julia Basova. The team of coaches was joined by the technical director of “OblikSoft” Dmitry Kryvoruchko, who spoke about automation of business processes and opportunities to work remotely.

The training began with the presentation of Creative Spark: An Entrepreneurship Support Program in Education and the opportunities offered by the program. Inna Pakhomova, Project Coordinator, spoke about opportunities for training in the Creative Entrepreneurship training course and mentoring support for business ideas; an online English language course and Big Idea Challenge video business competition.

During the first day of the training the students learned what creative entrepreneurship is and what global and Ukrainian trends in creative entrepreneurship exist; passed the test for creativity; mastered the methods of creativity development and the peculiarities of forming a team for the implementation of a creative business project; Learn about basic methods for protecting intellectual property and automating business processes.

The second day of the training was devoted to the issues of forming a business model of creative entrepreneurship; features of technology sales in creative entrepreneurship; financial and economic substantiation of projects in creative entrepreneurship and search for sources of financing.

As a result of the training, participants gained knowledge in the field of creative entrepreneurship, business skills and certificates.
