The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) General Course on Intellectual Property is part of the Creative Spark program: the British Council’s Business Entrepreneurship Support Program. The local partners and organizers are the Poltava University of Economics and Trade in partnership with the NGO “Center for Adult Education in Poltava” and the University of Portsmouth (United Kingdom).
The purpose of the course is to help young entrepreneurs to defend their new and creative business ideas. After all, fierce competition and rapid technological development lead to the protection of intellectual property in many industries becoming a critical success factor. This course provides a unique opportunity to obtain information from leading experts of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
This course includes 13 modules dealing with key issues related to copyright, trademarks, patents, industrial design, combating unfair competition and more. The course is interactive and includes interesting audio and video materials and provides virtual tutorial support. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate. Course time is 55 hours.
