FAMILIARITY OF FOREIGN STUDENTS WITH NATIONAL CULTURE OF POLTAVA

On June 22, 2018 foreign students of the preparatory faculty of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET) took part in a master class for the preparation of Poltava national dish galushki at the First Galushki Manufactory “Komora”.They got acquainted with the national traditions and culture of Poltava region, heard the legend and facts about the origin of the name “galushki” from Stepan Galushka. The most interesting was the process of cooking by the students, after which they themselves ate and tasted it. Young people got a lot of fun and positive emotions from the master class and now they can share the recipe of Poltava galushki with their families.

Students also visited the Poltava Art Museum (Art Gallery) named after Nikolai Yaroshenko. They were impressed with picturesque landscapes, portraits, still lifes, historical and battleships of Ukrainian and foreign artists.
