Food market operators were trained to implement the HACCP system
On October 20, the online forum “Implementation of the HACCP system for food market operators” took place. The zoom remote platform was used for the event.
This event was implemented within the framework of the Entrepreneurship Support Marathon with the assistance of the Department of Economy and Investment of Poltava City Council within the framework of the Business-Power-Science Program.
The event is aimed at food market operators in order to acquaint participants with the practical aspects of the implementation of the HACCP system. The event was joined by more than 100 representatives of small and medium enterprises – food market operators from Poltava and the regions of Ukraine.
According to the Law of Ukraine №771 “On Basic Principles and Requirements for Food Safety and Quality”, food market operators are obliged to implement the HACCP system. At the seminar, participants received an explanation of the provisions of food law, practical assistance in developing documentation for the implementation of the HACCP system, learned about the inspections.
The event began with a welcoming speech by the Director of the Department of Economy and Investment of Poltava City Council Vita Klymenko, who noted the importance of cooperation between the city council and business and the academic sector.

Vladyslav Veremeenko, Chairman of the HACCP Integration Association in Ukraine;
Natalia Katerenchuk, Chief Specialist of the Food Safety Department of the Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Department in Poltava Region;
Victoria Oblak, founder of her own brand “FACTORY OF DECISIONS”,consultant for the implementation of the HACCP system and ISO 22000, ISO 9001 systems.
The presentations were followed by a Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to ask questions to each expert.
The event was moderated by Alina Tkachenko, Director of the Institute of Business and Modern Technologies, and Inna Pakhomova, Director of the Institute of Projects and Innovations.
The second part of the event is purely practical. Participants were grouped into zoom rooms for the HACCP Documentation Development workshop. The event was moderated by HACCP implementation consultants, employees of Poltava University of Economics and Trade – Director of the Institute of Business and Modern Technologies, Head of the Research and Training Laboratory “HACCP PUET School” Alina Tkachenko, Associate Professor of Commodity, Biotechnology, Expertise and Customs Olena Gorysha teacher of the department of hotel-restaurant and resort business Svitlana Rybakova.
Experts from the NASP PUET School developed workbooks that contained the appropriate templates needed to implement the HACCP system, so participants had the opportunity to work with the relevant documentation.
After the seminar, experts and organizers received feedback from participants. Information materials, an electronic workbook for the development of documentation for the implementation of the HACCP system and a certificate after the event are provided for all registered participants.
