II REGIONAL COMPETITION OF RESEARCH WORKS AND PROJECTS IN CHEMISTRY “I WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD OF QUALITY”

March 16, 2015 the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Merchandise, Trade and Marketing of PUET conducted a presentation of the best works of the regional competition of research works on a subject “I want to live in a world of quality”, dedicated to the Day of consumer rights protection. The organizing committee received more than thirty pupils’ works from different areas of the Poltava region.

The students and teachers, most of whom came from remote areas, got acquainted with students scientific works, were shown chemical laboratories etc.

Welcoming remarks were made by a famous journalist of Ukrainian television, a true defender of consumer rights Kostiantyn Hrubych, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations, Professor Olha Vasylivna Karpenko, Vice-Rector Oksana Yuriivna Marchenko.

The ceremony of summarizing the results of the competition was attended by special guests: Kostiantyn Hrubych; Tymofii Haievyj – chef of restaurant and hotel complex “Viva Province” participant of the television projects “At loggerheads”, “Hell kitchen-3”, TV chef of the culinary show “Culinary country”, the finalist of culinary festivals and competitions; Victor Burjan – Methodist of Poltava Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education named after V.A. Ostrogradskiy.

As a result, certificates of the First degree were awarded to:

Syniavska Olexandra, a pupil of Chervonozavodska school number 1, for her work “Acidity as one of the indicators of quality and safety of food”

Sokolov Daniila, a pupil of the Poltava gymnasium number 33, for her work “Defining the quality of chewing gum according to physicochemical and microbiological parameters”

Levtsun Vlada, a student of Municipal Institution “Poltava specialized school of I-III levels № 3” for her work “Research of the quality of berry syrups (toppings pupil)”

The winners received certificates for free education in the university “Poltava University of Economics and Trade”

The highlight of the event was a master class of Kostiantyn Hrubych devoted to the quality of cooked sausages from different manufacturers. Kostiantyn Volodymyrovych charmed the audience not only by interesting and meaningful presentation, but by his extraordinary charisma.
