LEARNING CULTURAL HERITAGE OF POLTAVA REGION
To learn Ukrainian culture, customs and traditions, Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET) regularly organizes excursions for foreign students who study here.
On May 17 2017, foreign students from Liberia, Pakistan, Gambia, India, Morocco, Kuwait, Egypt, Palestine and Jordan taking the foundation course at PUET got acquainted with the Poltava countryside and learned a lot of interesting things about the life of the Ukrainian people.
They visited the Museum of Ukrainian Wedding in Velyki Budyscha where they saw and enjoyed the participation in the staging of the Ukrainian wedding. Each student received a wedding bun in memory of the museum.
The National Museum of Ukrainian pottery in Opishne also gave students unforgettable impressions. In the museum foreign students saw pottery works of Ukrainian potters and could make their own pots. The students left their warm impressions in the Museum Book of Reviews.
The tour ended with a walk in the Lilac Grove in Dykanka where everyone received a unique feeling of joy and harmony.
