LEARNING HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF POLTAVA

On July 7, 2017, foreign students from Nigeria, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, Ghana, Gambia, Palestine and Jordan taking the foundation course at Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUЕT) visited two museums: the Museum of Heavy Bomber Aviation and the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “The Field of the Great Poltava Battle». 

In the Museum of Heavy Bomber Aviation, students got acquainted with various models of military airplanes and a military helicopter, inspected their cabins and even could feel like real pilots at the wheel of the plane.

In the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “The Field of the Great Poltava Battle” foreign students examined the Museum of the Poltava Battle, the Sampsoniyivska Church, the monument to Peter the Great and the Russian Warriors Bed of Honor; they learned much about historical events associated with the Poltava Battle.  Especially students enjoyed  wearing historical costumes of Ukrainian hetmans, Russian and Swedish soldiers feeling while feeling the atmosphere of the eighteenth century. The students shared the warm impressions of the museum in the Museum Book of Reviews.
