Meeting of the Academic Council of the Higher Educational Institution of the Union of Poltava University of Economics and Trade

On February 19, 2020, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Higher Educational Institution of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade took place.

The meeting of the Academic Council began with an important event – the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Education Department of the Executive Committee of the Poltava City Council, represented by the Head of the Education Department of the Poltava City Council Executive Committee Matvienko Yuri, between the rector of the University of Economics and Trade and the NGO “Educational Center for Adults of Poltava Region” represented by the Executive Director Chaika Inna.

The signatory parties agreed on further ways of cooperation, creation of effective platforms for development of pedagogical community, student youth, based on the principles of equality, openness and integrity, updating of the content of education, modernization of educational management and quality assurance of educational services.

Then the Professor of the Department of Food Technology and Restaurant Management, Doctor of Biological Sciences Manzhos Alexander, was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the All-Ukrainian Central Union of Consumer Societies, and the Central Committee of the Consumer Cooperative of Ukraine for a significant personal contribution to the development of educational methods and educational activity.

And then were discussed and reserved a number of important issues for the university, namely:

•monitoring of processes “Operational management”, “Scientific activity”: on results of research work of the University for 2019;

•process management “Operational management”, “Scientific activity”: the plan of research work of the University for 2020;

•the management of the process “Analysis of the management system”: the results of financial and economic activities of the University in 2019;

•approval of the budget of Poltava University of Economics and Trade for 2020;

•monitoring of processes “Operational management”, “Scientific activity”: approval of individual plans of postgraduate students of 2020;  approval of the topics of the candidate’s dissertations and appointment of scientific supervisors;

•the management of the process of “Social protection of staff and students”: the approval of applications for the appointment of personal scholarships of the Academic Council of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade on the results of the winter examination session 2019-2020 academic year;

•the nomination of the scientific work “Accounting for the Activities of Electronic Business Enterprises” for participation in the competition for the award of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Prize for Young Scientists in 2020 and the inclusion in the team the applicants for the head of the Department of Accounting and Audit, Assistant Professor, Doctor of Economics Victoria Kulik;

•Report for 2018-2020 by a fellowship of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for Young Scientists, Associate Professor of the Department of Food Technology and Restaurant Management, Candidate of Science (Engineering) Oleksandra Mikhailivna.
