Monitoring of the Tempus Project “Development and improvement of the University Administration on International Affairs” (UNIVIA) in PUET

Remembering the brightest moments of leaving Year 2016:

Dear colleagues,

We would like to inform you that the Tempus Project “Development and improvement of the University Administration on International Affairs” (UNIVIA) comes to the end. At the final stage the project teams of HEIs from the EU Partner Countries summarize their work and implementation of the European universities` experience of internationalization.

One of the final events of this year was the meeting of the PUET project team with representatives of the project coordinators: Director of the Centre of International Academic Mobility of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (Ukraine) Ievgeniia Kolomiiets-Liudvig, Director of Global Engagement at the University of Warwick (Great Britain) James Kennedy, Vice-rector for International Affairs and Programmes of the Azerbaijan State Economic University (Azerbaijan) Shahin V. Bayramov, which was held on Oktober 13, 2016.

On Oktober 13, 2016, at the Poltava University of Economics and Trade (PUET) in the framework of TEMPUS Project “Development and improvement of the University Administration on International Affairs” (UNIVIA) was held the meeting of the PUET project team with representatives of the project coordinators: Director of the Centre of International Academic Mobility of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (Ukraine) Ievgeniia Kolomiiets-Liudvig, Director of Global Engagement at the University of Warwick (Great Britain) James Kennedy, Vice-rector for International Affairs and Programmes of the Azerbaijan State Economic University (Azerbaijan) Shahin V. Bayramov.

The aim of the visit was monitoring of the project and project outcomes, assessed the project activities results referring to the achievement milestones defined in Project Logical Framework Matrix (LFM), to check the situation on the ground and to make recommendations for the continuation of the project at each Ukrainian University.

Vice-Rector on Scientific and Pedagogical work (International relations, International activities, European and Euro-Atlantic integration) of PUET – Olena Cherniavska made a welcoming speech and outlined the importance of the Tempus Project – UNIVIA for PUET and Ukrainian HEIs in general, also impact of the Tempus projects on the overall development of the University.

Report on the implementation of the Tempus project – UNIVIA was presented by project coordinator, the Director of International Scientific Educational Center of PUET – Olga Reva. Her report indicated the main goals and objectives of Tempus UNIVIA, stages of implementation and progress report of the project.
