Online forum “Implementation of the HACCP system for food market operators”
On October 20, 2020, the online forum “Implementation of the HACCP system for food market operators” will take place.
Within the framework of the program initiated by the Department of Economics and Investments of the Executive Committee of Poltava City Council “Business-Power-Science as Interaction for Results” together with Poltava University of Economics and Trade organized a Marathon of Entrepreneurship Support. The main goal of the Program is to consolidate cooperation between business, government and science through educational activities.
Thus, one of the events within the Marathon will be an online forum “Implementation of the HACCP system for food market operators.” The event will be moderated by representatives of the research and training laboratory «HACCP School” Poltava University of Economics and Trade. By the way, the HACCP School has been working at PUET since 2018. During this period, specialists of Poltava University of Economics and Trade developed guidelines for the implementation of the HACCP system at industrial enterprises of the consumer cooperation system, conducted trainings for Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zaporizhia, Khmelnytsky, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regional consumer unions. Trainings were also conducted for employees of food units of educational institutions of Poltava region. As part of the regional comprehensive program to support entrepreneurship, trainings were organized for entrepreneurs of Poltava region. In cooperation with the Business Information Support Center of Sumy, with the support of the EBRD in the framework of the EU initiative # EU4Business, training was conducted for entrepreneurs of Poltava and Sumy regions. Specialists of the HACCP School provide ongoing consultations to enterprises on the implementation of the HACCP system.
This year, the HACCP School team received an Erasmus grant from Jean Monnet “European Experience of Implementation of the food safety management system HACCP (Hazard analysis and critical control points)” and will implement educational activities for 3 years for students and those wishing to gain deeper knowledge of the HACCP system.
The online forum “Implementation of the HACCP system for food market operators”, which will take place on October 20, 2020, will be organized using the Zoom platform. The event is held for representatives of small and medium business in Poltava.
In addition to the consultants of the HACCP School, the following speakers were invited to participate in the forum:
Vladyslav Veremeenko, Chairman of the HACCP Integration Association in Ukraine;
Natalia Katerenchuk, Chief Specialist of the Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Department of the Main Department of the State Food and Consumer Service in Poltava Region.

For registered participants, information materials and an electronic workbook for the development of documentation for the implementation of the HACCP system are provided. Participants must be provided with a laptop for practical work. At the end of the forum, all participants will receive electronic certificates.
In addition, the program plans to publish a practical guide that contains step-by-step instructions for implementing the HACCP system. The program of the event is given below:
