Practical seminar “Agroconsulting. Cooperation. Processing”

On October 10, 2019, Poltava University of Economics and Trade gathered together advisers and agricultural consultants of the Poltava and Sumy regions, as well as representatives of individual peasant and farms, small businesses and medium-sized agricultural firms who wish to take advantage of consulting services and agricultural services. The reason for the meeting was the seminar “Agroconsulting. Cooperation. Processing”.

The seminar was organized by the Sumy Business Information Center together with the Higher Educational Institution of Poltava University of Economics and Trade with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development within the framework of the EU4Business aimed at the development of small and medium business in Ukraine.

The purpose of the event was to exchange experience and develop cooperation between agricultural consultants and processors of agricultural products of Poltava and Sumy regions.

During the seminar:

a communication platform was created to combine the efforts of business, consultants and authorities with a view to the economic development of rural areas;

identified opportunities to support existing and launch new initiatives in the field of agro-consulting in order to develop cooperation between agricultural producers and processors of agricultural products of Sumy and Poltava regions;

presented business development opportunities from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The result of the event may be:

consolidation of efforts of business, authorities and consultants for economic development of rural areas of Poltava and Sumy regions;

stimulating employment and developing small forms of entrepreneurship in rural areas;

increasing the number and quality of agricultural advisory projects;

strengthening of inter-regional cooperation in the sphere of agricultural products processing;

practical use of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s agribusiness opportunities.
