Results of the CREATIVE SPARK – ENGLISH CLUB 2020-2021 project at Poltava University of Economics and Trade
On November 3, 2020, PUET will implement the CREATIVE SPARK project – ENGLISH CLUB – an English language program for students participating in the Creative Spark program: a program to support entrepreneurship in education.
It should be reminded that Poltava University of Economics and Trade is one of the two universities in Ukraine that were selected to hold the CREATIVE SPARK – ENGLISH CLUB in 2020-2021. The teacher of the English language club is Valentyna Ishchenko, who was previously selected and trained by the British Council.
Thus, for 5 months a group of students of different specialties (“Management”, “Marketing”, “International Economic Relations”, “Philology”, “Food Technology and Engineering”) worked on a program developed by the British Council. The program included 4 modules (40 lessons) that focused on speaking skills, namely speaking, reading, writing; professional skills; job search skills, career growth and entrepreneurship skills. Different forms of work were used during the classes: individual, pair, group work, and work in small groups.
On April 9, the final meeting of the English language club Creative Spark took place, where students presented their own projects in English. Among the guests of the event – the project manager of educational projects of the British Council in Ukraine Julia Sobol.
Students successfully present their own creative ideas. These include business ideas for translation agencies and language schools, language learning and game applications, a variety of restaurants, travel services and recreation areas, and online stores. During the presentation, students discussed issues of entrepreneurship, project management, time management. All students who presented the final project will receive a certificate.
During the event, Creative Spark Poltava project manager Oleksandr Ustyan presented the possibilities of the Big Idea Challenge 2021 competition among students, invited them to participate in the competition and the mentoring support program Creative Spark Poltava. Participation in the following activities will allow you to turn creative ideas into business projects.

ERASMUS + DAYS for the youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition – NORTH
On April 12, 2021, the staff of the International Research and Education Center and students of Poltava University of Economics and Trade joined the online event “ERASMUS + DAYS for the youth of Ukraine: Zoom edition – NORTH”, organized by the National Erasmus + Office in Ukraine (EU Project) together with Erasmus Student Network Kyiv. The event was supported by the EU Delegation to Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Eurodesk Ukraine, the Erasmus + Youth Information Center and the European Solidarity Corps, higher education institutions and Erasmus Mundus graduates.
The event consisted of two parts:
1. Presentations of speakers on opportunities for training, teaching, internships at leading European universities within the European Union Erasmus + Program.
2. Communication in breakout rooms in Zoom with partners from the departments of international cooperation of leading Ukrainian universities and students participating in Erasmus + mobility projects, including representatives of Poltava University of Economics and Trade.

Erasmus + is a program of the European Union that works for the educational, professional and personal development of EU citizens and beyond, in the fields of education, training, youth and sport. The program supports learning mobility, innovative projects and partnerships of cooperation organizations, policy development and cooperation. Different types of organizations can participate in the competitions of the Program. Individual opportunities are open to different groups of the population, for young people aged 13-30, without age restrictions: for youth workers, students and graduate students, employees of educational institutions, youth organizations, representatives of state, public, private sector and others.
