The days of German language
On March 19, 2018, there was held the event German Lesson Days devoted to the problems of teaching and learning German in Poltava University of Economics and Trade” (PUET). The organizers of the event were lecturers of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Olaf Mitteltrasrass, Cedric Reichel, Vera Terstegen, Interlingua Training Academy, International Science and Education Center, Business Foreign Language Chair
The event was attended by teachers and students of Poltava University of Economics and Trade, Poltava State Agrarian Academy, as well as students from Poltava Specialized School of I-III degrees №3 ( Vovchenko Olesya Nikolaevna, teacher of German language).
Lecturers presented DAAD in Ukraine. The provided information caused a considerable interest of the audience. Participants learned about the conditions for providing financial support to DAAD, the procedures and deadlines for applying for participation in the program, as well as the features and timetable for language tests OnDaF, TestDAF, Test AS. After the presentation, the work of the lecturers started at the sections. Mr. Olaf Mitteltrasruss spoke about the features of writing the motivational letters, summaries, autobiographies. The theme of the seminar from Mrs. Vera Terstegen was a creative letter. Mr. Cedric Reichel spoke about the peculiarities of the political system in Germany and the problem of linguistics in Ukrainian higher education.
In addition, the lecturers prepared a quiz: “The best connoisseur of Germany”, all participants received prizes.
