University Day-2019: PUET Fest
University Day is the most important event of the year at the Higher Educational Institution of Poltava University of Economics and Trade, which took place on October 11, 2019. The organizers created a multi-faceted program that brought together teachers, staff, students, pupils and alumni of different years.
Opening the grand holiday, Rector of the University Alexei Nestulya congratulated all present and said: “The University is developing rapidly in all spheres: scientific, sports, public. It’s nice to see what talented students and successful graduates we have. This is all for you and thanks to you! ”.
Numerous master classes for students were held by the Small Academy of PUET. There was a food area, a music cafe for everyone. Intellectual, sports, recreation and creativity have created a holiday for anyone who has come!
Among the honored guests of the holiday the University welcomed: City Council Secretary Shamota Alexander, Director of the Department of Education and Science Elena Kharchenko and Deputy Mayor on the Issues of Executive Bodies (Issues of Humanitarian Activity and Development) Svetlana Ivanovna. They described the successful development of the university in its 58 years of existence, which brings together all generations from schoolchildren to people of good age. After all, these walls focus on successful projects that have been working for several years: the Small Academy of PUET, the Poltava Regional School of Student Self-Government and the University of the Third Age.
Open meetings with PUET graduates and their success stories are testament to the continuous development of our alma mater: Polishchuk Denis about “Success in business and public activity”, Olga Kornienko about “What makes you successful”. All of them are graduates of different years and specialties, but PUET became the starting point of their achievements. And it was on a holiday that they decided to meet with the current students and prove to them that they have a great chance to stay on track and move forward on their dream, and the university will only help them in this! An important meeting was also held with the employers to discuss the university’s project capabilities.
The celebration ended with a solemn concert where diplomas and gratitudes for contributing to the development of the university were awarded to the PUET staff. The creative program was a real gift for guests. A celebration of meetings, brilliant smiles, hugs and happy memories has happened! PUET is the starting point of your success! And the existence of 58 years in the educational field is proof!
