We develop tourism together with PUET
During the Marathon of Entrepreneurship Support, initiated by the Department of Economy and Investment of the Executive Committee of Poltava City Council within the program “Business-Power-Science as interaction for results”, on October 7, 2020 the training “Strengthening the capacity of the tourism business through the use of cultural and natural heritage” (Creation of interpretation programs) was held.
The trainer is associate professor of management Yanina Barybina.
The participants got acquainted with the concept of “heritage” as an economic category and resource for business and community development, reasonable positioning of the territory using the potential of cultural and natural heritage, interpretation of heritage and why it is important for business.
The second half of the training was devoted to practical work. As part of the training, a tourist object – the bell tower of the Holy Dormition Cathedral – was chosen to improve the practical skills of writing an interpretive program. The group’s ideas on filling the interior of the bell tower and finding new contents and forms of interest to visitors were interesting.
